Noah had his first ever migraine headache. It started Monday where he complained of his chest hurting and a headache. I thought his chest hurt because he had helped shovel dirt the day before and he isn't use to that kind of activity. But then the headache got worse and by Wednesday he couldn't sit up and was having nausea and vomiting. I took him into the doctor and I watched her give him the same kind of neurological testing I remembered my mom getting when she had her brain tumor. The doctor felt that this was probably an atypical migraine and gave him Imitrex. It took three of them four hours apart to get rid of the last traces of the headache. So since he was just getting his appetite back by yesterday and his GI system was finally working right from both ends, I decided to have him sit out yesterday's cross country meet. He agreed with me but he felt sad to watch his team race and not to be part of them. I think Izzy would have been happy to sit it out with him. Rosie and her friend had fun though!
